What’s On In E-Town: Weekend of April 17-20

Don’t let the snow and cold get you down, think warm thoughts and get out there this weekend!  Here’s what’s on:

April 17, Arden Theatre, St. Albert, 7:30pm:  Like Dancing With The Stars?  Head out to the Arden Theatre in St. Albert and see some classical Spanish and Latin dancing!

April 17-19, Catalyst Theatre Society, Old Strathcona: A dinner theatre production of the movie, “Footloose”.  Big city flair meets small-town conservatism.  Hilarity ensues!

April 19 – 20, Verdi’s Falstaff, Jubilee Auditorium, U of A Campus, 7:30pm:  Can’t get away to New York to go to the Met for some good opera?  Get thee to the Jubilee this weekend for Verdi’s Falstaff.

April 18, Lyle Lovett, Winspear Centre, Downtown, 8pm:  A timeless country legend in one of the best acoustic venues in Canada.

April 19, Edmonton Rush vs. Colorado Mammoth, Rexall Place, 7:30pm:  The Rush, in their sophmore season, are only a half-game back of making the playoffs in the NLL (National Lacrosse League).  Go cheer them on, and we might have a reason to hive-five random strangers on Whyte Ave this Spring!

April 20, Edmonton Collectible Toy and Comic Show, Shaw Conference Centre, Downtown, 11AM to 5PM:  Looking to show off your Superman #3 or your Star Wars collectibles?  Want to see them?  Head down to the Shaw this Sunday!

April 20, Hawerlak Park, Earth Day Celebrations:  Come out and give it up for Mother Earth!  Just be sure to bundle up though, or you might end up saying some not-so-nice things about her!
