Neighbourhood Tour — Ambleside (March 2, 2008)

This time, we not only venture into the suburbs, but the exurbs.  Ambleside, the primary community of the Windermere development, bills itself as a little city in the suburbs, with shops, boutiques, and walkability between it and the community.  It will also have more car-driven amenities, with big-box retail located within Ambleside’s limits.

Ambleside is bounded in the north by Anthony Henday Drive, in the east by Whitemud Creek, in the south by Ellerslie Road, and in the west by 170 st.

Now Ambleside is largely still a construction site, so I didn’t take any pictures outside (probably will come back once they’ve built the area up more), but I dropped into a showhome and snapped a couple photos.

It was a good day to be inside anyway, -10c outside, brrrr!
